I cannot say enough good things about this place. The staff was amazing, they were all masked and enforcing masks at the door. The wings were some of the best I have had outside of Buffalo. They have many flavors and heat levels if you want to try something other than hot. They also had a great selection of craft beers to choose from. I travel to Norfolk for work and will be sure to stop in at TDB every time I'm in town!

We have been looking for some good wings & we finally found them. Literally amazing. The sauce was perfect. We’ve tried so many other places and their hot just isn’t hot or it just doesn’t taste good, but these were perfect. The waitress we had was also amazing. She was the sweetest person. Just overall an amazing experience!

Some of the BEST wings & fried cheese curds I have ever had. I had an order of half Sweet Buffalo and half Strawbanero. Both flavors were amazing! Atmosphere was relatively family friendly if you don't mind your children being around an imbibing Atmosphere. Many TV make just about any sporting event available. Pretty awesome place.

The Dirty Buffalo is owned and operated by Western New York native and ODU alum Russell Gilbert. Russ grew up in a small town outside Rochester, New York before moving to Buffalo where he met his wife Stephanie. The couple spent several years shoveling snow and chowing down on the City of Good Neighbors’ iconic fare before heading south to Virginia in 2005. Upon arrival in the Hampton Roads area, Russ and Steph relished in the bright sunshine and friendly people, but they couldn’t find a restaurant where they could enjoy the authentic Buffalo-style chicken wings they’d grown accustomed to eating. After growing up in the restaurant industry, Russ could only think of one solution to this perceptible void. So, while he finished his marketing degree at ODU, Russ set to work on creating a family-friendly restaurant and sports bar featuring his own interpretation of his favorite Western New York dishes.
